Le GASP! What is this?! That's right! I've finally made some progress! Just sort of a little teaser with cryptic flavor text. Nothing special. But anywho! This is the prolouge to my Nuzlocke comic of Pokemon Fire Red, which I'll be posting here. I've been lurking around Nuzlocke comics for a while now, and have been wanting to do one for some time! For those who don't know what the Nuzlocke is, it's basically a way to play Pokemon games on an increased difficulty. Super hard. Super fun. SUPER FEELS!!!! So I'll be writing out my whole adventure as a comic. Part of the reason I'm doing this, is to practice my ability to tell a story and create / develop characters. So Criticism is VERY MUCH appreciated!!!
Also, this is my FIRST TIME really doing anything with an art tablet! So bear with me if the artwork sucks a bit. One thing I've noticed is that Nuzlockers improve a BUNCH as they keep going! So just be patient with my suck skills!
Anyway, here are the rules for my run (Didn't do anything TOO crazy cause it was my first Nuzlocke):
1. Can only catch the FIRST Pokemon Encountered on each route. If it faints, then
TOO BAD! WALUIGI TIME!!!
-Note: Each area of the Safari Zone counts as a new area, and the section of Route 2 after Viridian Forest counts as a new area!
2. If a Pokemon faints, it dies and must be placed in the Graveyard box!
3. Must nickname EVERY Pokemon obtained! (So that when they die, you will cry your eyes out!
)
Amendment #1: Run officially begins AFTER Pokeballs are obtained! (Meaning route 1 still counts as a new route.)
Amendment #2: Shiny and Gift Pokemon ignore the first rule! (Spoilers: I never found a single shiny pokemon...
)
Event Pokemon (I.E. Legendaries, Snorlax, Voltorb, ect.) can be caught IF they are the first encounter. Game corner Pokemon Can NOT be caught!
The run ends after I defeat Mewtwo or I white out!

I remember my first Nuzlocke. It quickly turned into a Sololocke. (basically a nuzlocke where you chose one pokemon and stick with it forever. No switching it out and you lose if it dies) It was Heartgold, and I wrecked face! Red didn't stand a chance against my Vulcan, my Typhlosion. All I remember is the level he had after the final battle. Level 94. He solo'd Red and could still get a little stronger. As for where he is now? I traded him to a friend for a Shiny Mew. He was just giving it to me for whatever, but I didn't want to just give him a Magikarp or something. Vulcan still lives on as one of my OCs.
